Default Just bought an 07' GSXR 750

Just bought an 07' GSXR 750. I really wasn't looking for a bike but a friend of a friend saw his father in law drop his Harley while he was drunk and messed himself up. So after that he decided to sell his bike. So last month, I bought this:

When I picked it up it had 1,143 miles on it. It was originally titled in August so its still got the factory warranty for a long time and I ended up paying $6,000 cash. That was his asking price. :wtf

I've been riding in the dirt for probably 15 years but riding in the streets is new. I know a 750 is more than I need but for the price he was selling it for and the fact that I really just got it to go riding with my girlfriend who has an 05' Ninja 250. So riding with her will keep me riding sensibily. We both are going to take the saftey course this spring, I heard they were good to take.

As for the bike I still gotta do some research on how to set up a street suspension for free sag, rider sag, compression and all that other good stuff for my weight. As for mods I'm probably just going to get a slip-on, either a scorpion or R-55, maybe Jardine but that might be too loud. I don't need a full exhaust, its fast enough. Probably some sliders, and powdercoat the rear pegs black. Well thats about it, here's more pics of everything else:

Both of my Suzuki's (07" LTR450 Carbon fiber dual beadlocks, Sparks pipe, Yoski Cherry Bomb and all other little stuff):

And all the other good stuff:

Here's the Banshee up in the coal:

My buddies 06' LTR at Centrilia (the town that is abonded becuase of the underground coal fire. Yes, that is smoke comming from the ground, the mountain is on fire)

I hope your flame suite is on. All the jealous squids on SV's and redneck CB650's will be in here tearing you apart for buying a 750 as a first bike, also because you don't always wear full leathers, and haven't taken the MSF 5 times.

edit: Beautiful bike, and great price. Good luck, and stay safe!

I agree completely. There is nothing wrong with buying this bike especially for such a great price. If you get on it and realize its too much then sell it and pick up something a little slower, no big deal. Make sure you have gear and insurance especially on such a new bike.

Good luck and stay safe.

Thanks, I just built the garage not too long ago. The floor is coated in solid epoxy, its supposedly resistant to everything so hopefully itll stay this clean

I kinda understand from where you're coming. I don't want to get a 750, but came across a 00 ZX-7R for sale in a real good price, but the guy is currently out of town, as soon as he returns I'm going to check it out. It's real tempting when you find a good deal.

Nice bike and nice quads, I'm a big Suzuki fan

You know, some would say, the bike chose you, not the other way around. To find a deal like that, and have it all work out...

Also, make sure you have plastic flakes on that epoxy, or when it gets wet, you'll eat ISH!

Respect the throttle is all I can recommend. Are the tires even scrubbed in?
