no, when everything is situated like it should have been already, youll be able to get your membership on the Nopi Drag Racing website and sign up for all the other stuff. You will be able to do it at the races to but it helps to do it online or on the horn when they get it all ready.

Look at the top of this Drag Racing forum at the racing schedule. It will show all the races across the nation and their locations. See what you are able to go to and check with those sanctioning bodies what the requirements are on the class you want to run in. No need to preregister or anything like that. Just show up that day and make sure you have the proper safety requirements.

If you want to run NOPI you will need to register with NHRA because it is NOPI sanctioned by NHRA. Go here to get a registration: http://store.nhra.com/product.asp?0=203&1=211&3=25
If you plan on earning points you will need a NHRA competition number. There are two types of member competition number. If your car runs slower than 9.99 and less than 135mph you need to fill this out:
http://www.nhra.com/contacts/forms/nolicense.pdf
If your car run faster than a 9.99 or 135mph or greater then you need to get a license and a physical. Here are the forms you need for that:
