Chips??
I was wondering if these mugen chips really make a difference and if they are a good buy. It claims to change the redline to 9900 and gain 10hp. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1840453604
if it is a real one then yes they make a world of difference but some make you lose your A/c
I have two ecu's .....one mugen chipped for track then one for daily driven (A/C is Goooood in TX)

thats interesting... it says 8 psi... i didnt know people (other than hondata and some others) were making chips would work with boost?? looks like bs
is there really a need to redline that high..I mean its pretty nice probally makes gears a little longer but your motor is not gunna be pulling hard all the way up to that point.......so IMO theres not much of a need to redline that high...ALso if you do want a redline at 9900 i suggest titanium valve springs and retainers..
Mugen doesn't make chips so I call B.S. it could be a simalair program (I have a Mugen style program on my P28) beleive me there is a difference between a chipped ECU and the real Mugen ECU and not just the price.
If you already have a obd-1 Ecu take it to a shop. Tell them your mods and let them design a program that will work well with the mods you've done
