early redline

Default early redline

I have a H22A in a 95 accord I'm sure everything is wired right I start thecar it idles good just sometime I will idle up and down but thats not my main issue when I take it out I have good power until I hit 5000-5500 rpms and it feels like I hit redline but I'm not sure I get no check engine light and I don't feel safe taking my car to any import shop in town I've checked the timing wiring oil spark plugs they all look clean its running on a chipped p13 I just ranbout of ideas I have messed with the timing from retarding to advancing the timing a tooth I just ran out of ideas so I need help badly our tracki opens up I'm three weeks and I can't gt my car right so any help would b appreciated thanks in advance

Find a shop that you can have work done. Your going to need it at one point and time. And yes they are probally going to rip you so just be prepared. Otherwise your options, are to become a highly skill mechanic in order to cope with your paranoia.

H22a redline is 7500.

well from what i know its a skunk 2 but were tried it with p28 which was also chipped the h22 ran fine with that computer before the it spun a bearing and it sat for like three years till my accord needed a engine so what better than the h22 p28b runs fine in the hatch so im not sure what else it could be i was thinking vtec is not engaging but wouldnt i get a check engine light

Make sure you have your vehicle speed sensor in your transmission. With it disconnected your motor doesnt know what to do and cuts the rev limit and power way down.

yea w had that problem at first but we hooked it up and the speedo work so im assuming its wired right if the solieniod was out i would get a cel right or if the oil snsor

I fixed it kinda now i just cant feel the vtec kick in and it redlines at 7000

Ya redline seems fine even a little high w/out the vtec but probably cause its chipped.

so we tried to run a switch to the vtec and it works good but it still redlines at 7000 they told its doing it cause the ecu is not seeing the vtec i need to find out were i can get a diagram for the grounds someone told me the ecu might not getting proper ground since i cant find the ground that goes on thermostat housing

yes, i know when i put in anything less than 91 my car doesn't like me. it cuts the redline, and prohibits vtec. try putting some premium in there.

Or if you guys know how many grounds there is in total cause I got one to from the valve cover to the body trans to the batt and one from the harness to the block

I fixed it it was the ecu that was bad we tried a p28 chipped and worked fine redlines a 8200 so thanks for all the help
