Default FS: Immaculate '00 Suzuki SV650 -Matte Black Street Fighter, 15K mi - $3,500.00 or Trade sedan - Atl

Well as some of you may or may not know my wife and I are having our first baby later this summer, so we have decided to make some lifestyle changes, which begins with selling both of our motorcycles.

In case you don't know me my name is Tom Hornsby, and I can be reached via e-mail at b18c5eh2@hotmail.com - I'm avoiding posting my phone numbers publicly, but I'll be glad to give it to serious interested buyers. I'd love to show to bike to any serious buyers as I think it's truly appreciated in person.

Up first is my 2000 Suzuki SV650 with 15,000 miles on the odometer. I bought it a few years ago with 7K on the odo and it has been the pinnacle of reliability. It sounds amazing with the V-Twin engine and Yoshi pipe, handles great with rebuilt forks, Michelin Pilot Power tires with 80%+ tread ($500.00 for bike tires!!!), light weight, etc. etc.

The bike rides literally perfect with no quirks to speak of. I seriously debated keeping the bike because it's literally one of a kind, rides so nice, and my wife isn't forcing me to sell it. I'm selling it to afford myself a nicer 4 door daily driver, and I don't have the heart to ride without my wife with me, and obviously we won't be riding together and leave a kid orphaned.

This is a garage kept baby and has never sat outside a night of its life.

For those of you unfamiliar with the SV650 it is a naked sportbike with a 650cc V-Twin engine. The V-Twin is VERY torquey, but doesn't rev as high as I4 engine'd sportbikes. Here's the stock specs for the 2000 SV650:

SV 650 2000
Overall Length: 2,045 mm (80.5 in)
Overall Width: 760 mm (29.9 in)
Overall Height: 1,060 mm (41.7 in)
Seat height: 805 mm (31.7 in)
Wheelbase: 1,420 mm (55.9 in)
Ground Clearance: 140 mm (5.5 in)
Dry Weight: 165 kg (364 lbs)
Engine type: Liquid-cooled 645 cc V-twin, DOHC, 8 valves. 70 hp (51.1 kW)/ 9,000 rpm, 62 Nm/ 7,500 rpm.

Other than the pipe the engine is stock. It runs VERY WELL as anyone who has ridden with me, or ridden the bike can attest. no popping, backfiring, etc. Carb does not need rejet - runs perfect with the pipe.

Bike has NEVER been down on my watch. Did not look to have been down when I bought it either. Tank has a few pushed-in areas on seams, but was not scratched and with matte black paint is almost not noticale even when looking for them. I tried to take pics that best represent the bike, incuding the few flaws it has.

I'll let the pics show the quality of the bike.

PRICE IS AT BOTTOM OF THIRD REPLY AFTER ALL BIKE PICS!!!

First the VIN:

Mileage:

Guages:

Paint is custom matte black sprayed by Quality Collision, the same shop that painted my silver EG:

There is a small crease in the curvature of the tank - it was minor enough IMO that when I got it painted I didn't bother with a new tank or body work on this one - seen in this pic:

Headlights are custom dual set-up done by the previous owner. Gives it a street fighter/Triumph Speed Triple look:

Yoshimura slip-on sounds amazing with the V-Twin - not the typical street bike sound for sure:

Forks were rebuilt last year by GMD computrack with new seals, bushings, RaceTech springs, and heavier fork oil - GMD computrack builds race bikes, repairs frames, etc. - very reputable, and the work wasn't cheap - this pic shows the stock springs and RaceTech box that the new springs came in:

BRAND NEW front and rear sprockets, and chain professionally installed by a Triumph/Ducati of Atlanta tech:

Also has smaller signals:

Good tread Michelin Pilot Powers:

Engine/frame looks like-new - very clean as seen here:

Only cosmetic problem the bike has is what looks to be acid etching on the pivot area of the swing arm - previous owner stated that he got a bad battery and it overflowed. Battery box is clean, was cleaned well with baking soda by previous owner, etc.:

That's it for pics.

If you know me you know I'm very picky. I changed the oil on the bike every 2500 miles or so. I also installed a new battery and rectifier (think voltage regulator in a car alrernator) - rectifier was brand new from /suzuki, so this is a part you won't have to worry about. The OG one lasted 6-7 years. Bike cranks after sitting for weeks in cold weather (albeit in my garage, but still) runs perfect, etc.

The bike has NEVER been on one wheel/stunted in any manner while under my care, or even that I know of.

I am asking $3,500.00 for the bike. IMO very fair seeing as how it needs nothing, has custom paint, rebuilt forks, etc. etc. Price is firm. I am not looking for any trades unless you have a CLEAN EF 4 door, Wagon, or possibly a 4-door DA/DC Integra. I'm flexible as far as trade goes. If your trade is nice and worth more than $3,500.00 I'll come up with the cash difference as I'm also selling an EF hatch and my wife's bike.

Also if you buy the bike you can have your choice of one helmet, jacket, and gloves. I'm not lowering the price of the bike if you choose to not take one set of gear - I can easily sell the gear alone for $200.00 per set if need be since the helmets were $250.00/eas. jackets were $200.00/$250.00ea. etc. etc. If the gear happens to sell before the bikes (will be selling the gear in a seprate topic) the price for the bikes will remain unchanged, sorry.

Here's is the gear which will be posted in a separate topic. PLEASE NOTE ONE SET, AS IN ONE OF EACH ITEM - 1 HEMET, 1 JACKET, 1 PAIR GLOVES - WILL BE FREE IF YOU BUY THE BIKE.

i'm doing 1 set free because I'm also selling my wife's bike. If you want the extra set of "hers" gear for your lady we can work something out I suppose if you just buy the SV here.

If you buy the bike you get your choice of one helmet, one jacket, and a pair of gloves. First come, first serve:

HJC Zeek helmets - they were $250.00 each new. Size medium is in good shape with a few knicks - this was my helmet. Size small is like-new and worn by my wife.

Joe Rocket gloves - $50.00 each pair when new. Size medium worn by me are well worn, but not in bad shape. Size small worn by my wife, and are like new.

Suzuki/AGV jacket worn by me - I think it's a size medium or large. I'm 6' 170lbs. and it fits well. This was a $250.00 jacket when new. In good shape, never down on it or torn/ripped ever.

Women's jacket by Power Trip. Size small. Worn by my wife, and like new. Was a $200.00 jacket when new.

I'll be setting up separate topics for the gear itself, and then my wife's Suzuki GS500E.

Almost forgot:

The bike has stock bars on it, and the bike is super comfy/not wrist breaking like many sport bikes. If you want to sit more "sporty" you can also have the aftermarket bars that came on the bike when I bought it. i've got wrist problems and could not tolerate long rides with these bars, but they're super nice and high quality made by Suburban Machinery:

PLEASE NOTE THE PIC IS OF BARS INCLUDED, BUT NOT INSTALLED ON THE BIKE!!!

This is an extra I'm tossing in with the bike.

In closing I can only say that people who know me understand my taste and pickyness. Look at my 1992 Civic and see what I mean. I would love to keep this bike, but I need a nicer sedan/wagon daily, so it must go. There literally is not another bike like his around.

You can also contact me via PM/IM here.

Thanks for looking!!!

As soon as I secure my new daily driver I will be glad to e-mail you recent pics of the EF.

For now these should be good?

If you'd be interested in the white EF hit me up with an IM. I should be wiring the money tomorrow to buy my new daily, so once I have the new daily delivered (will take 5-7 days) the white EF will oficially be up for sale.
