question everyone.... check engine code question
ok so d16z6 in a 91 rex obd1 and i think the ecu is a po6 chipped for turbo but i have no turbo.... so i was just casually doing a daily drive 7grand hit boom check engine light anyone have any ideas? i just fixed the last few little things like pcv valve and a vacuum leak.... but also the distributor is for a del sol its got some extra wiring done to it not really sure... and the ecu is chipped for turbo but not running turbo could these 2 things cause me to throw a code? at 7grand? if any ideas what do you suggest p28 ecu? and the correct distributor? please help thanks guys

I'd suggest to stay away from 7000rpm on a SOHC 
Just check your CEL.
Start small and work your way up, Change the ECU out for something OBD1 non-chipped. See if it works. Trial and Error.

what code are you reading???
and check your vtec wiring,
you can run a turbo ecu but it will run rich.
you should get it turnd right away...
