Default EK Hatch GSR swap

I just swap in a GSR in my 97 Hatchback CX, and i was wondering what throttle cable do i need to use? I tried the stock one and its way too loose. I have a Stock GSR one but under the dash where it connects to the pedal is different. I was thinking about cutting the stock one and get one of those wire stops and put in there. Let me know what cable people are using.

I use the stock one for a while. I just got two longer bolts and some washers for spacers. Looked tacky but worked till I got a gsr cable. The gsr cable one will go on its just a bitch.

The slightly more expensive solution would be to get an aftermarket manifold with a B16A or ITR throttle body and bracket and cable.

Hmm, I had to do the washer thing even with the GSR cable Either way, the GSR cable works (with possible modification)

Theres only one thing about that, Yes i do have an aftermarket and it would make things a lot easier, but i am going to State Ref the motor in the car and we all know how strict California BS is.

I have a GSR cable out of a 95 GSR but the place on the pedal accepts a different type of cable holder and is way different. the one on my car looks like a big thick washer as to the ones that we normally see.

Hmm, well I don't remember any issues with mine (01 gsr in 99 civic)...Maybe the 95 throttle cables were different from the newer models? Have you tried putting it in despite the differences...maybe it just looks like it won't fit, but it actually will.

A Skunk2 Intake manifold would make a world of difference when it come to State reffing a car. the goal is to make it look stock as possible as if the motor came in that car from the factory, its the visual part that Kills.
