Default CTR MIRROR QUESTION / CLARIFICATION ......I SEARCHED

I know that the ctr mirrors fit on the 96-00 civics. Mine are non power folding. I had them taken apart to get re-pained. This required the shop to take the pins out of the white clip on the mirror. It was to my understanding that I could plug my stock si plugs (from door) into the mirror and have it work. The shop brought it to my attention that my passenger side door clip has 5 pins and the driver has 3. So they dont know how to re-pin the mirrors. Am I missing something here? If so, what is it?

5 pins typically shows power folding. At the same time, however the passenger mirror came from the factory with 2 extra wires on the passenger side. I'm not sure why, but on the wiring diagrams it shows them as routed, but not used.

yes? If I wasn't on a work computer right now, I'd upload the pinout diagrams.
