Need help picking out the right TIG for me
I am looking to get into fabricating and I was wondering whats the best TIG welder for around the $2000.00 price range. Some stuff I am looking to do with this welder is prolly start off making custom exhaust systems, Intercooler kits and other misc work and slowly work my way into doing exhaust manifolds etc. I am looking or a welder that is good for beginners and allows room for improvement. I just don't wanna find myself needing to buy upgraded equipment a year down the road.
Thanks

I've owned the syncrowave200 and the dynasty200dx(currently)
I would say... look for a used syncrowave (will be relatively new because of their recent release) for around 1500-1700. Or maybe a dynasty 200dx for 2000-2600.
If you've never welded before...Id shoot for the syncrowave 200 with the runner package.
BTW...the TA185 is nice because its an inverter and is very small.
If it were me...I'd do the miller again. I had ZERO issues with it and it always performed like a champ.
<-- on the miller bandwagon for lyf3 y0

I love our syncrowave 200, Super easy for those just starting out like myself, But also a VERY solid welder for any of those more experienced welders out their like my partner at work. Couldnt ask for a nicer welder in that price range or not.

I currently have two Dynastys, a 200dx and a 300dx, love them. I had a Syncrowave 200 and it was a good machine, great to learn on but it was big and used a lot of power and didn't have the control I wanted for Al.

Hope that was a joke man, if someone stole one of my dynastys I would just like them to stop and think, "is this really worth my life?"
