Default honda bond on vtec solenoid gasket?

the top half of the vtec solenoid leaks, the bottom half has a new gasket...
the top gasket is a special order even for honda, and i was wondering if i could use a little bit of honda bond with the old gasket to make it stop leaking?
will it work or do i need to make a special order?

yes it will. did mine 5 months ago and still doin great. i usually do this to my friends' cars too.

just apply a very thin film of honda bond on the outer side of the gasket(aluminum mating surface), NOT on top of the gasket itself. make sure the mating surfaces are oil free.

That's what i'd do if it was my car. If it was a customers car i would replace it.
