i think its called titanium chroming..please let me know if you know a shop that can do this for me im located in so cal near torrance thanks

A light coating of oil, on a chrome wheel, will produce the same effect.

However, I have never seen a shop paint or coat a wheel to produce that effect. Looks neat though.

i think that process would be quite expensive. Its called electroplating where the metal gets current passed through it.. it causes it to be very strong. The reason why rays did this to the rim was of course for protection from the elements, curbs, corrosion etc. The look is an added plus. The reason why I say it may be expensive is because titanium electroplating is recent development.

I am not sure if this would work but maybe try a full polish on the wheel but then have a colored type of clearcoat on top or a colored tinted anodize on top? Not sure but might work. Contact rainbow polishing and I think there is another shop called bright wheels(?) near the southbay.
