Yes I searched for the last hour, So be kind
Been talking with some friends and this came up. So he say's my harness is ready for vtec and I can not see how being in 1988 it was not around yet. During my search I found plenty of info for the 92's and up but nothing near 88.
The ecu is well.....is a remanufactured unit with no numbers on it other than a company sticker with 121-917 121102
Do I have to remove the cover to see what ECU I have?
It has three connectors on one side and a window for the codes.
If someone could shed some light for me it would be appreciated.
I don't even know if a vtec head would fit on the A6. Believe me I have read alot on it, just not found any info for the 88 at all.
By the way My thoughts are no to not wired. no to the head would fit. and yes I would need either another ecu or wire to shift light.
Straighten me out HT.

yes the head will fit. just pull the oil jet out of the block and use the head gasket and head bolts for the vtec head you get,z6,y8. just google mini-me engine swap.
also on the wiring your harness will work just get a obd-0 to obd-1 ecu jumper. it comes with directions and you need the correct ecu. you may need to add a connector or not use one on your a6 harness but it will work. google is your friend
