f22 tranny has taller gearing and is good for boost. however if you want to stay n/a, with the f20b paired to the f22 tranny your car will be slower than with the h22 tranny

do a hibryd.

h22 1-3rd or 1-4th its up to you, and f22 5th for highway crusing so you don't rev out

the h22 is good for acceleration, but sucks for highway, you'll use more gas than f22

Found this elsewhere...

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">yes, it can be done. I have pulled apart a usdm h22a transmission and have been able to replace the counter and main shaft 5th gears HOWEVER, the 5th gear on the main shaft side is a little bit taller than the original and the only way to get it to fit would be to have it machined down, which could impact its structural integrity. Because of this risk, I chose not to attempt the swap but I'm almost positive that it can be done and work. It was just not a risk I could afford $$$$ to take.</TD></TR></TABLE>

One of the more idiotic responses I've read in a while. If the H22 tranny was "always" better, why didn't Honda save themselves the trouble and just mate that tranny to the F22 from the factory? Think before you post... :cough:jackass:cough:

hmm. i know people do it, i don't think thats true but i don't know. i was told it would work from 2 or 3 different honda techs with no problem. im pretty sure they are the same in size.

I thought you were going to post a link to some sort of how-to or at least someone who has done it successfully. That's just a less intuitive version of what I posted above. Considering the source, it's gonna take a little more research before I go diving into this one.

Well, I'm picking up my swap here in the next 2 weeks or so. I'll tear the trannies down, see what's up and if it looks promising, expect a write-up from me inside of a month
