High idle on Gsr w/ skunk2 pro IM
The only mods I think are of some use to know are that I have a skunk2 pro IM and a Gsr Throttle body that has been bored out and the spring and the way the throttle link are sitting has been reversed to work with the ITR-style IM.
I came back from a trip to LA and had a high idle on my Gsr w/ a skunk2 pro IM.
While down there i was tinkering with both the bolt that screws down the throttle link and spring and one of the IM bolts. Well one of the IM studs got stripped off while i was messing with it and I wasn't able to put the nut back on but since I'm just driving on the freeway I'm not thinking much of it.
So anyways, I get home and put on another nut on the IM stud and drive down the street. I'm still getting a high idle. I use my foot to pull the gas pedal towards me ( to see if it's my Throttle body cable, and the car starts to rev-bounce from 2k to 1.5k RPM)
So I'm thinking it's the IM having a vacuum leak so I change out the studs for longer ones and start up the car just now and with no throttle body cable attached it STAYS at around 3k RPM.....so i attach the cable like it was before and I'm suddenly getting a much better idle....so basically with around 1-2mm between the throttle stop screw and the throttle link the car acts as though the throttle body is closed and I'm at idle and with the throttle link and the throttle stop screw touching, the car revs to 3k.
please help.

<ul>[*]I have a skunk2 Pro Intake Manifold with the throttle link flipped backwards to have an Integra Type-R style throttle cable[*]The car idles at 3k when the throttle link touches the stop screw but idles perfectly at 750 rpm when there's about 2mm of space[*]WTF eh!?

After reading a bit, I'm fairly certain i don't have a vacuum leak at all and that my throttle body is actually being held slightly open when the throttle stop and the throttle link touch.

Otherwise I don't see why my idle would go 3k at the butterfly being closed, 750 when it's slightly open and back up again.

are you using the ITR throttle cable and bracket? And confirm that you are using a non-gsr throttle pulley too. How are you sure that you have no vacuum leaks? DId you spray carb cleaner around vacuum hoses and the manifold and look for idle changes?
check for vacuum leak.
check to see if your iacv is working and is clean
if you have the fitv, check it. mine also idled at 3k, but i found the problem to be that the fitv screw was very loose.

I know what a vacuum leak does and it does not cause a constant 3k idle. It might cause a surging idle or a high idle but a small leak like that would definitely not cause a constant 3k idle.
I'm pretty confident I don't have a vacuum leak because i torqued everything down to factory specs ( 17 ft/lbs on the IM ) and because IF any of the hoses have a leak it's so minor it wouldn't cause anything like this.

No FITV. It's a 2k Integra.
The IACV is clean and fine. As i stated before, I'm pretty sure I've found the problem which is detailed in the DIY link i provided. In bullet point #5, the guy says you need to adjust the non-adjustable screw. I haven't done that yet.

did u play around with the throttle cable adjustment screw?? try loosen it maybe..
did u have ur throttle bored to match the skunk2 im? if so, what throttle body did u use?? cuz i wnat to get my gsr tb bore to 64mm but don't know what gasket i need..oem is like 60mm..so dont know.

i need help with my idle.just install a skunk2 pro IM and the idle is goin crazy. it stays on 1500 rpm.and sometimes bounce to 3k rpm and back .. do i have a vaccum leak or somethin?please help anyone
from most of the thread i read people always recommend checking all the vacuum hoses to make sure they are tight..check around the throttle body for hissing sound, might be a bad tb gasket..other then that, maybe throttle cable is too tight?? try giving it some slack..
