Default transmission stuck?? or expletived

ok here is the deal.. i can get in the car put the clutch in and start it normally.. vrroom ok so far so good.. when i go to put it in gear it is reallly hard to get in.. but if i let the clutch out a little itll get in a little easier.. now its running good and in gear but when i depress the clutch and start to give it gas.. it just boggs down and trys to die.. of course i put the clutch in before it dies and it goes back to normal idle or whatever but it does that no matter what rpm i am at.... any ideas on what the problem is?

Does it matter how much gas youre giving it? A motor can easily idle as theres really not much effort needed for that, but when its trying to move the whole car than it might not be making enough power to move therefore it bogs and practically dies. Could be a clogged cat...

How hard is it to get in 1st? My tranny does that to me sometimes also, but its not a big deal at all to me. Just let out the clutch a bit first.

i dont think its a clogged cat it has to be somethign with the trans.. i was driving it all weekend but the other morning i was driving and i would let the clutch out and the trans would kind of hesitate. then kick in all of the sudden.. then i went to downshift and pull into the parking lot and thats when it just made a very loud clunking noise and died.. like the noise it makes when you forget how to drive your car and stall it lol.. but it wasnt operator error this time.. i dont know what happen.. after that it would just bog down.. like maybe something broke inside the trans.. i think im just going to get a b16 transmission and then "explore" the other one and throw it away.

Same thing happened to me before, a few times. More than likeley the differential came apart, and there is parts hanging everything up. On my integra, it broke the case and was emidiately evident. and when it happend to my civic, it happened just like you explained it. And what i mean by the diff came apart is, the pin that holds the spider gears was worn, thus, the clunking, and one=ce they wear so far. they break.

i dont think its the clutch cuz i can disengage it to start it.. and when i depres the pedal and give it gass it feels like it is engaging but theres something else hold it in place. as far as the diff coming apart that could be a very good conclusion. i would have to open it up to really know though..
