Default Building a GSR - I would love some opinions on CAMS - Real life knowledge ONLY Please

First I will lay out my build - weekend warrior build (somewhat daily driveable)

B18c Block (no Sleeves Yet)
Wiseco 14:1 Compression Pistons
LS Crank
Carrillo Pro A Rods
B16 Head Fully Ported
Performer X IM
70MM TB

Gonna be tuned on E85 w/ Hondata S300 and 660cc injectors

I am really stuck I need to choose my cams like NOW so I can buy valvetrain and my porter can get this **** together.

I have pretty much gotten down to 3 main choices

Buddy Spec 4's
RM M24e (or x)
Skunk 2 Pros (2 or 3's)

I know the skunk 2 pro 2's have been well proven, and I have heard good things about the RM's.

I am really hoping to hit the 250+ whp mark!

I think I got everything there if you need to know more let me know!

THANK YOU

Thanks - I appreciate it!

Now why not S2 Pro2's or 3's?

Cam choices are tough to nail in one shot. I reccomend testing. HOWEVER, if this is not possible, financially, looking at your compression, intake manifold, throttle body, id go with either the M24xx's or the Pro3's. Dont waste time with the BC 4's or the Pro2's.

Which do you think will have more potential?

Pro3's or M24x's?

to be honest man i would try to pick up a set of both and test them to see which ones work better for your setup. thats what i did on my setup and i picked the cams that performed the best.

although i would like to test the pro 3's i have against some M24x's to see which ones come out on top

BC5's beat the Pro2's in 92Typer's motor, he then got some Pro3's and the Pro's made more than the BC5's.

A recent customer of mine with a 87x85 with "11:5" ish compression, Portflow head, SMSP header and M24xx's made a corrected 243 whp(Dynojet) blowing through a muffler on pump gas.

Pro2/3/24XX/25E all need to be degreed to your motor, and all of them are going to give you great results. It's impossible to tell you which one's will beat others, I would like to compare the 25E's with the Pro3's, 24XX's to the Pro2's.

Are your valves standard or oversized? Who did your cylinder head and what header are you using? Who's your tuner?
