What??
What??
I have no clue what you are talking about. Skinnies? Try using actual rim or tire sizes. A skinny person in the USA might be a fat person in the opinion of a African person. Hence why actual numbers and sizes help.
And what big brake kit do you have most of them can be cleared with a 15". A 17" rim on a 88-91 Civic is going to make it ride and handle like a hay wagon.

AEM BIG BRAKE KIT....yes skinnies as in small SKINNY tires in the rear. They are used for drag racing. I have a big brake kit on the rear. Big brake kit is a kit that has a BIGGER rotor designed for better STOPPIIIINGG. The big brake kits only alow a 17 rim or bigger to go on cause the rotor is alot bigger. My question is: Since the rim on a skinny is very small with 2.5 inch back spacing. Will it work? The skinny is 15 tallx3.5 wide, 4x100, 2.25 in back spacing
AGAIN specifics...what "big brake kit" do you have and why in the world is it on the rear of the car that does little to none of the braking effort.
FYI...thanks for explained what a "big brake kit" is none of us were sure what they did. We just figured they were for asphalt ricers that never take it to the track.
My other question is why would a drag car need a "big brake kit"?
We don't like pulling teeth to help someone, so if you can't give us specific info and all the details it makes us cranky and unwilling to help.

well, now that you've been such a douche about it you honestly expect ppl to help you?
we know what skinnies are, and it was already mentioned that 15s clear most big brake kits, you sound like a ricer looking for an excuse to run 17's....
oh, and btw you already answered your own question in your asshat rant. if ONLY 17's fit, and the skinny rim is 15, you do the math genius
have a nice day, please dont be rude next time, just make an half-decent (and somewhat coherant) post and you'll get answers.

the car came with the brakes. I think they are 13 inch rotors. its from AEM its there big brake kit. I was figuring that since the rim is skinnier. Maybe i can use alittle spacer or something to clear the caliper. You are ALL asking me questions that make no sense. I know i said its 17 inch and up but im wondering since it is a skinny. Maybe i can get away with puttin the spacer to get it away from the caliper. If i use a spacer with longer wheel studs it might work. What stock setup can i use to make it disks in the back, like what car can i get it from? Ill rim these brakes of it i can use a stock civic or integra disk brake setup.

I'm REALLY trying to help, and you are pushing our buttons.
you don't have disks in the back ? You have 13" rotors out back?

i read the last 2 lines of that last post over and over..... now i'm going to go outside and use a blunt shovel to cut off my left leg to dull the pain in my head.
ok ok ok...... let me get this straight, *checks on bloodloss situation*
you wanna know about clearing your ginormous rear brakes, then ask in your last post what car you can get rear disks off of.........
I think you need to use a surrogate typist.
do your parents comprehend your peculiar linguistics enough to make a post understandable to the rest of the general h-t population?

Your brakes are 13's and your rim is 15" I don't think you will have any problems. Trust us we are all trying to help but we all must be on Mars and you on Earth and we are no communicating well. If you have concerns put it up on a jack and pull whatever rim is on there off and put your "skinnies" on and see if everything clears.
Most drag people have little brakes so they can put on any size wheel and avoid clearance issues. I really would drag with 17's either, 17's are only good on 88-91 cars in the trunk/hatch.
If you want to go back to a stock setup you can get 90+ Integra, CRX Si, 92+ Civic. Check out the FAQ at the top of the forum there is some great info in there for you.

okay im good break this down for ya with 2 questions
1) If i use spacers to space the rim away from the caliper do you think the skinny will work?
2)I know i can use a stock disk brake setup from another year civic but i forgot which one it is. Which STOCK disk brake setup can i use to get rid of these stupid big brake kit?
These questions are clear and to the point. Im stuck with these brakes until i can find a different setup. Everything is done on the car except for the back.

You failed 1st grade math, didn't you?
you need to look at the drag skinnies back spacing if you plan on using a spacer. not overall diameter.
