i feel like these new Si's are attracting more and more ricers

 

I got it about 4 monts ago its a 07 alabaster silver sedan.

I aint no damn ricer retard but I think little rims with big tires is ugly as hell. Sooo Im getting 19 so the tire is smaller... imo it looks better.

If you dont like the wide tire/small rim look, get low profile tires, or go (at the biggest) with an 18". anything bigger looks rice IMO.

invest your money in some lowering and suspension instead of some "balling 19's ChROme bling Bling y0"

 

Naw I dont wanna lower my car because of curbs and stuff. Look at anyone who lowered there car or has a low body kit.... its cracked... broken..... or scratched. So no thanks besides I just got my Si and i want some rims. Besides Im prob only gonna get an intake and an exhaust but I cant decide which ones. When I buy my rims im gonna get a intake to because i have been saving up for that 2.

No chrome just black with chrome lip. Chrome is played out to the max like g 35's and acura integra's/rsx's oh and tc's

 

Or mayb change your mind with some 17' Rotas or something .... 19s are for Trucks and suvs

 

So your an admitted ricer and your pride of it. Just be prepared to catch heat. 19" on a FA5 are a bit much unless you've got a killer suspension system to hold it all together. IMO its a waste of a car thats a DD to put rims and other stuff that takes away from its driveablity. 18" are big enough specially if you might lower it later.

 

yea yea your saying the same thing my uncle said. Im getting 19's.. i dont like little rims it looks ugly to me. I had soem motegi's 17 on my car and it looked ugly so i sold them. Just put 17's on your car and we will both be happy

look all i wanted to do was post pics of my car. all this heat was brought by mintylouse. I didnt disrespect anyone or anything and wish it could have been different. instead of nice car i got "your a ricer"

im proud of my car it took me 3 years to save up for my first car. I love my Si!!!!

 

you probably would have caught less sh*t if you'd posted pictures in the appearance and cosmetics forum. That's what it's there for. They don't generally allow threads without tech in tech forums. The 06+ forum seems to be a little relaxed on the rules to give the new guys a chance, other areas can be far more brutal.

I didn't ever disrespect you either btw. Didn't call you a ricer, didn't say 19's were a bad idea. One thing to consider, the shorter the sidewall on the tire the rougher the car is going to ride. For a DD you may not want the added NVH from larger wheels. If it doesn't bother you, go for 19's. It's your car, we don't have to ride in it.. lol

some good points but you lost me on the "killer suspension to hold it all together". What exactly does that mean?

 

What i meant was that if you have 19" in a FA5/FG2 you'd need a really good suspension setup (i.e. Shock & springs) that you can adj. so that when you hit bumps you don't bottom out constanly. Also most 19" rims are about 8" in width or wider. That height and width you'll be running 235 for tires and you'll need a stiffer suspension to keep you from rubbing with you corner. I have a FA5 Si and i run 225 on my stock 17"s and on really bad bumps i rub(a little). IMO i just don't think 19" are a good/safe ideal for a stock suspension.

 

black rims with a chrome lip are played out too...but youre right its your car. but if you post pics, youre looking for opinions, and youre gonna get good and bad. i havent really seen post saying "yeah 19'' rims on a civic? COOL!"

hey i got a good idea. it will really set off those pimpin 19's! get a big vinyl sticker that says "civic" for your windshield. definitely get a fart can so everyone will vomit at the sound of your car. i think im done...no wait..NEON!!!!!

Yeah because my car is all scratched, broken and cracked from curbs...... You just need to learn how to take proper care of and not drive like an asshat to avoid problems from a lowered car.

For the sake of putting it out there....im going to say that on avg 3 out of 5 people in the 06+ civic forum are not haters....they just have nice cars too.
