Default New ZC up and running... Pics later today

So blah blah my yellow rex that got totaled..

i bought a maroon 90 dx off one of my friends, in this town. clean no cancer. ripped bolsters, bride steering wheel, zc motor, stock exhaust, cracked thermostat, eibach springs, wheels that i can't think of at five am, and sadly no beloved sunroof. ect ect.
although i bought it with one problem...

it had been sitting for a year and a half with no valve cover on it.
zc's are pretty much latin for me, i've always been in love with my single overhead cam, the one that i can take apart blindfolded (d16vtec woot!)

so after 2 days of research, parts lookup, ordering things, talking to people i finally am standing out in the parking lot at my buddies shop looking at the spider webs in the spark plug cylinders...

for a 600 dollar purchase i can't really complain, i'm pretty sure if i wanted to part it out i could make at least a grand.

so fuel stabilizer, injector cleaner, 5 gallons gasoline, new spark plug wires(trust me, the old ones were pretty ridiculous looking), a battery, 90 integra valve cover gasket, some washers, coolant, an oil change, and some air in a rear tire, and i finally suck it up and try to start the thing.

my friend who was with me, mostly for motivation, he doesn't know the alternator from the gas tank, was completely unbelieving that this thing would ever start. the engine bay was basically a bad town in an old western, nothing but spider webs
it cranked unhappily for about a minute and turned over, sounding entirely too close to a lawn mower for my liking... and smelling like nothing short of burning hair, which i'm assuming is a year of dust and grime heated up.

however with some timing adjustments, after i let her run for about ah hour, with some priming sessions, which sprayed really dirty(what i can only hope to be) water about 3 feet out the exhaust the really choppy lawn mower sound went away slowly...

but that was all the time i had for last night, and a put her back in the parking space as i realized that the roof was covered in frost,(and my toes had no feeling?) with a bunch of dude mechanics i don't know giving me funny looks...

more later when i get off work at three...

so i called my dad(in GA) because i have a bunch of parts laying around his shop, and i'm about to drive the rex down to get it titled next weekend, GA= no inspection , no emissions, no tint laws.

and was informed that my rear brake setup is still chillin, SWEET 4 wheel discs!
also today i picked up the real gaskets for the valve cover screws from honda,(since the ones that came with the kit were retarded, too big, and there were only four when i needed eight) no reason to ghetto this one.
got a lot better response on this, what would be 4th startup, drove it into the shop to fiddle with it in the light( and out of the snow )
the clutch is positioned really high up, LAME, i'll be tightening that to the floor tomorrow... theres no short shifter... and i'm not sure if the thermostat is salvageable... but its like 1/2" off the ground... no idea what i'm going to do about that... koni yellow sport adjustables? probably.

on a brighter note. there is totally NO rust on the entire rear portion of the car...
theres a tiny bit of surface rust on the window frame where the plastic peeled off.
oh and pictures: i forgot the engine bay, and interior... which is complete... rear and all...
the pictures were pretty much an afterthought.. i try not to touch my phone because its white, after i've worked on a car...
more pictures tomorrow. i've got all day to expletive with it.
NO WORK wo0o0o0o0o0

i got brand new fenders for the yellow car when i first got it.
they fit.
brand new fenders run 82.50 each and the hood is 81.50
lucky for me its in baltimore and i can drive the hour to go pick it up.

speaking of which on this project:

i threw 4 engine codes(which was to be expected considering the car had a light up pedal set and non functioning hood pins/ alarm system when i got it.) a crank position sensor, which i rewired and was pulling some fuel system code, and something else... atmosphereic pressure sensor?
something i know doesnt exist on my car, so if anyone can show me what this looks like, what car it comes off of, so i can go to the junkyard and get one.
but other then that i just got 330 miles to my last full tank of gas... and i wasn't driving nice, if you know what i mean.

i cut out the old alarm system that was non functioning last week ... it was all mounted under the dash on top of the fusebox reconnected all the main wires that has been cut, a bunch of salvageable relays there.
if anyone wants a viper 550... i'll sell it to you for five dollars plus shipping. i'm in 20016( washington DC) i have the brain and all the shock sensors and blah blah.

i'm putting in a new one when i strip it to paint it.

in other news:
i ordered my JDM back seat yesterday from germany, so it should be appearing here in the states in about 4 weeks.

my coach covered armrest was recovered from the wreckage of the yellow car wo0o.

and i'm considering buying the JDM headlights that are attached to the corners... i found them for 80 bucks shipped.

however i put my car up on the rack the other day and found out that 2 of the wheels are basically "square" so those are on my list of things to buy first.
i'm thinking something 5 point, gunmetal or black and 14 or 15 inch...
i like cheap tires... i go through them a lot.

still looking for stock SI seats... doesn't matter what condition, i'm going to reupholster them.....

sorry i havent been near my computer in a minute.... been pretty busy with the CRX and work... and that life thing, i try and keep up with.

When you say you want to buy some jdm headlights.... do mean ZC of the SiR lights? if you want the SiR lights they wont fit without a jdm front =D they are longer
also look at getting some HX wheels. thats what i bought for my crx. they are 14" and you can paint them any color you want =P

like......from the corner light to the hood longer.... the ZC's are still one bulb like the SiR but but 88-89 unless you change the buckets... if you change the buckets to 90-91 then the ZC's will fit a 90-91 =D so if you retain you headlight buckets and buy the ZC's you already have the parts
