where to get rollbar for EG hatch?
well, after reading all the debate about 5pt harness w/o rollover protection (which i was doing, and am no longer), where do i get a rollbar for my EG hatchback? i have a corbeau forza with Gforce 3" SFI 4pt harness, if you care.
i've seen the autopower kits for ITRs, but do they make a kit for the EG hatch? any help would be appreciated.

Is that a bar or a cage? If it is a cage and your car is street driven I would shy away from it and go with a bar. A bare head - metal contact on the street won't feel real good.
it is a "bar"
it will be completely padded anyway, so i hope that will help w/passengers
i currently have a Y harness, where the shoulder straps connect behind the seat, and i then have that long strap bolted to the rear OEM seatbelt mount in the back (see pic). first off, is this legal? if so, is this setup something i should try to convert to the rollbar mount? or is this an OK setup for solo2, combined with a street bar?

the only passenger i'll have in the rear will be my young daughter strapped in a car seat. and that will be rarely. besides, from what i've read on the above linked site (I/O), it is possible for passengers to ride in the back with a rollbar that doesn't have a cross brace. as i said before, it would be completely padded.
You're kidding.... right?
... or were you going to tell him that she shouldn't be wearing a harness on the streets?
This is the bar you are talking about.....
I have this installed in my 92 Hatch and there is NO WAY I would every try and put someone in a back seat with that thing. (maybe that is because I don't have a backseat but that is beside the point!)
Rollbar + backseat passenger = uhhhh, I don't think so

I don't see a problem with that...
$.02
obviously, i would end up getting the street bar, or optional removeable crossbars if i went with the race bar. c'mon, i'm not fricken stupid. i'm not going to have a passenger in there with a full cross bars. this is the one:
