PY JDM Front Install - paint issues?
Does it usually come out when the paint is matched and the whole car is not repainted on the PY ITR's? Reason I ask is from what I have heard from many, the PY is a very hard color to match.
Thanks,
Jon

Well I recently got my car repainted and I know I have heard horror stories. Since you are replacing the front end the driver and passenger doors will HAVE to be blended. I work in a body shop and we use Sherwin Williams Automotive Finishes. They only offer one variation of that color, no alternates at all and the color match is very good. Hope this helps.
So, it should come out looking new, no noticeable color difference assuming the bodyshop knows what they are doing? I mean, i have seen some messed up paint matches.. I was just wondering if the PY was POSSIBLE to perfectly match .. or if the car had to be painted..

y-56 is y-56.
dupont is a good paint to choose,.
the color variation is really the time/quality spent on the painting AND blending with clearcoat (i cant stress this enough)

With all of this info (and I do appreciate it)... all i could really do is pray I am going to a body shop who knows what they are doing. I know they have done the PY color before, and they do admit to it being hard to match if I remember. I don't want to insult them and tell them which paint to use.. heh Maybe I will make a mention of that.
Well most shops have a sign outside saying : We use ................ Automotive finishes, so whatever you hear matches the best look for that. Most shops only use one paint line so good luck in everything. Hope this helps.
