Default my new car!!!

well im not usually in this part of the forums but i have recently baught a 96 civic ex coupe. i plan on doin alot of things to it before a big car show here in the northeast (carlisle performance and style) on the second weekend in may. im goin to be posting some pics in this thread but i wanna tell you what i have plans for this car. password jdm 3 point front strut bar, password jdm cooling plate, skunk 2 full coilovers, bronze honda hx wheels, mugen style front lip, password jdm's "jdm fenders" with the preinstalled marker lights, skunk 2 shift ****, type r shift boot, carbon fiber gauge bezel and si cluster and jdm yellow foglights. im sure there will be more that i will do to the car but thats a start. oh and also i have allready installed a mugen valve cover.
and now for the pics.

oh and does anyone kno what the color is called on the password strut bar and cooling plate? so that i can paint my valve cover to match them? thanks and any commplimants on the car will be appreciated. i kno its not much cause its all stock but its a nice car to start on.

I think one of the most important(and most overlooked) features about a car is how clean and well maintained it is. I know you just got it and it's winter, but a thorough wash and wax would make the car look more presentable. (even if it's stock)

gl with it though.

Well it looks like you have a pretty good platform to start off with Although IMO, I would ditch the "Mugen" valve cover because you WILL get flamed on here for it. Mugen doesn't make valve covers for single slammers..... It's a knock-off. Good luck on the build.....

oh yeah im deff one to keep good care of my car and maintain it,(helps when i work at auto zone and get discount on parts) its got a little rust but that will be gettin fixed soon and the car will be gettin resprayed. me and a buddy have a shop doin custom cars so im not really limited to that kinda stuff also. the interior is like mint and has just about every option you could get. i cant even think of anything else you could get. i love the car and ive always wanted to do one of these styles

Good thing you have the hook up on body work. That rust looks nasty.

Yeah I think it will look ALOT better paint matched with your other stuff! The red just clashes too much with the color of your car. Post pics when you paint it

I don't see any mugen sticker. I think that is a dealer sticker that certain dealers put on cars.

Well, congrats. Your plans have your car on the fast track to be your typical cookie-cutter fake JDM Civic.

I just thought I'd add a little more:

With what you're planning on doing, don't expect to get any sort of attention at Carlisle. You'd get more attention payed to your ride if you showed up on the city bus.

My problem isn't necessarily with their knockoffs -- but the way they run their business.

They carry a reputable part until they can replicate it. Then they drop said real part, and sell their own variety of **** at roughly the same pricepoint.
