need help on 97 civic hatch spring install
Jack the car up, support it, undo the bolt behind the cup on the bottom of the shock and let the LCA and componets fall, then take off that plastic piece in the hatch to reveal the shock bolt/nuts, undo them and it should drop right out.
^^^ deff true, but thats why you take the bolt in the back of the shock cup out so you can just push the drum/caliper/LCA stuff down and pull the shock out of the cup and out of the car
Jack the back of the car up and put on jackstands.
take the wheels off.
Use a floor jack to support the trailing arm that you are undoing.
remove the plastic panel that hides the upper bolts.
Undo the two smaller bolts at the top.
at the bottom of the assembly, unto the back bolt that connects to the shock assembly.
Lower the jack slowly so that the arm hangs down.
Remove the shock assembly.
Install in reverse!
