Well like the title says, i went down to the track yesterday, but after my 2nd run i was told that i couldn't run anymore unless i change my exhaust system. The legal decibel is like 89 or something and mine was at 92. I never really liked my straight pipe anyways because it was way too loud. Now i want a quiet exhaust, a little louder than stock that sounds good when you hit VTEC and gain some HP at the same time. What should i go with because i want to go back to the track again! Thanks.

Why don't u just have a 24" resonator put into ur straight pipe?

 

Sorry for my stupidity, but what is a 24" resonator and what exactly will it do?

 

I just want to get a quiet exhaust. The Fireball is loud. Any suggestions?

 

Looks like a glass pack(maybe the same???) I don't understand why a track would trip about exhaust noise. I know that most cars at the track are above 90db, because my whole car vibrates off of their exhaust noise(of course my car is stripped ).

 

Man that's wierd, the drag strips I've been to always have VERY loud muscle cars and stuff, and even the SCCA autocross events I've been to have some pretty loud Corvettes and RX-7's, etc. What exactly kinda track is this?

 

That's strange, cause at tracks here everyone runs open headers. Maybe it's just different rules in different areas I guess. It seems the most popular quietest exhaust is Apex-i World Sport. Too quiet for me though.

 

I have no clue why they wouldn't let me race! There were a ton of cars that were hella loud! Are there any other exhausts that is a little louder than the Apexi WS?

yeah on my old car (the one in avatar was a 99, got 96 now) I had a Hyper Medallion an Never had a cop pull me over for it or give me a look...Its purdy quiet looks nice and sounds good
