Default H22a1 block w/ H22a4 crankshaft?

Does anyone know if a H22A4 crankshaft can fit in a H22A1 block....its being built for boost

i don't remember which years they changed exactly, depending on which year a4 it is, some have different size mains, 5mm difference

98's and up had 55mm mains I believe, to the 50mm of the earlier motors.

sure you can make it fit...
you can bore out the tunnel bores and then hone them to 55mm no problem as long as crankshaft centreline is dead nuts centred otherwise kiss your oil pump and housing goodbye...

like i said if you want to go through the machining hassles then do the a4 if not stick with the original plan...the tunnel bores if done have to be perfect to accept the main bearing crush

Could always try a H23 or F22 crank.
