Default Buying an S2k turbo need advice

Hey guys somewhat new to the S2k forum I usually troll around or on s2ki.com

I was wondering if you guys could give me your opinion on this I'm contemplating buying an 01 s2000 silverstone turbo 50k miles. It's tuned in Atl, ga makes 370HP & 270TQ w/ GT3561E on aem EMS, it's the guys daily driver.
Told me it was maintained every 5k, seems to be very clean. Soft-top is good, diff is good, has new tires/brakes, no burning oil and price is right.
Turbo kit/turbo seem to be fine no shaft play, car has been tuned and running with turbo kit for 1 year it's running the InlinePro Turbo kit.
No check engine lights, no codes.

Inline pro runs a 3076 right?

THose torque numbers seem kinda high for that turbo.

I'm running a 2871R and only getting 236tq out of 8psi so i would assume the torque numbers on the S you're looking at should be lower... Just a thought i guess

Inline kit comes with various turbos. You can pick what you personally want to run.

"No check engine lights, no codes"
If he's running an AEM EMS, there will be no codes or check engine lights. AEM EMS is not OBDII compatible.

I like how this is floating towards an Inline Pro thread, but to the OP, if you want it, you have the money and aren't afraid of buying it, get it. Will be great fun.

Dude who the hell are you? You don't know me or any of my past driving experiences.

Why aren't you even listening to what i was saying? He ORIGINALLY(before he edited) posted 344whp and 290tq which seemed odd to me.

How in ANYWAY does that dictate who I am and what I drive?

I actually OWN an S2000 that i CUSTOM made a turbo kit on that i drive on a daily basis with 350HWP that i can control just fine...

Don't just assume cause i ask a question that i have ZERO experience in driving, ESPECIALLY the S2000. Find me at Laguna and see how shitty i drive

well my s2000 made 380 on my first pull on 8psi on a 30r and 499.5 hp and 325 tq on 14psi...lol since everyone is throwing # out there. then again mine only ran for 3 days.. ahhh as long as it has a good tune on it thats all that matters, assuming that it does since it has been running for a year.

since this seems to be a turbo related thread i might throw out a question,

I've been doing some research for turbos and I have had problems finding "the one"

i want the best price possible and a good turbo for a DD
in regard to this i have hondata, springs, retainers, and valves,
for better reliability, less things to go wrong

hit me up

My 2871R hits peakboost at 3800rpm and holds til 9k.

By far the fastest spooling turbo for the S2000 with enough power to hold the top end. Prices vary from vendors but i can get you one for $1015.

GT30's are good too and have been proven time and time again. Either way, go Garrett, you won't be dissapointed
