Captain JDM's EK Build Thread! Come LOOK!
ok everyone i decided to finally post up a build thread, even though i got the car in 06 ive really wanted to do this for awhile. So, now im finally getting around to it.
First off to everyone who is going to post, please tell me what you think, dont hate, be nice and if you have something to ask feel free to.
Im 21 years old now and have bought everything for this car, unless it was a gift or something of the sort. Im paying my way through college and have been pretty much on my own since i graduated hs. I now have a full time job and am saving up to go back to school this coming year, so if it seems like it might be going slow...now you know why.
This page should be updated and gone through pretty frequently and as i go i will add in the history.
History:
May 14th. 2006: purchased this car at a dealership for way to much. I did it for 1 reason and 1 reason only, to change a riced out pos into something very beautiful. Although it did come with a few goodies that i of course had to keep. Here is what she pretty much looked like when i first got it.
It came with the CF fenders hood grill and wing. CTR front lip and rear lip. Horrible Tint and the front bumper was cut out. It really was a piece of crap when i got it imo. Oh yea it also had cf sticker on the gas cap to make it look like it was carbon fiber of course.
The interior was horrible. It was painted, then had stick on cf, then buttons and **** everywhere that did nothing. It had 2 monitors in it, neither which worked and all the gauges which you see it.(also none of which worked). It had no rear seats and had these pieces of carpeted wood in the back where the rear seats where.
Here is the motor. stock and just stock really with intake and a rusty *** Chikara header.
The wheels in the pic where not on there when i first got it. it had steelies but got some $ and bought some Rota's.
I spent way to much $ for this car but 1 good thing is it only had 32,000 miles on it.(the main selling point)
In the summer of 06 i didnt really do anything to it. i was really busy with work and trying to save up to go to college. Im pretty sure the only thing i got that summer might of been a password jdm license plate relocator. other than that nothing.
August 2006: went up to school and sold the wheels for $ and put the steelies back on.
From August to Jan 1st. 2007
My roomates had a party and i got wasted. I come out the next morning and one of my fenders is cracked and my rear quarter panel is dented. look at pictures above.
September: i buy a set of stock fenders, hood, stock grill.
December 31st. 2006:
I HIT A RACOON!!! on my way back to my apartment from my parents i hit a racoon and it busted my radiator and chipped up the front lip really bad. So needless to say i did nothing on New years eve and ended up sitting at my parents house.
On the way back from picking up my car. on my B-day. What a present!
Oh yea forgot to add. I also bought another hood. a dry carbon fiber hood. seen in the pic above.
Jan 13th. got my new radiator. I was on a budget so i went for an upgrade but a cheap one. Mishimoto Aluminum radiator.
March 2007: I traded the Carbon Fiber CTR Wing for a CF DuckBill. Also Traded my brother for his HX's
April 2007: recieved my Honda Antenna Block off plate from JHP
Bought a CTR Grill paint matched.(not OEM)
May 2007: Did a 3 way trade for some replica ctr headlights.
June 2007: I bought a parts car and completely redid all the plastic of the interior now its back to stock and looks really good. Sold parts car after getting what i wanted.
Ordered Function 7 LCA's and end links.
August 2007: Picked up a Set of JDM DEL SOL seats, Honda Access Window Visors, JDM Thin Side Moldings, and Honda AirBag Block off tray.
also bought some spoon mirrors. and a set of cf spoon style mirrors.
October 2007: I bought my Friends EG Hatch. Pretty Much for the swap. The damn near cleanest running jdm B16 ive ever seen. Doesnt Smoke and pulls hard as hell!
Turned around and sold the shell back.lol
December 2007: purchased Buddy Club N+ spec coilovers, Carbing Front upper strut bar Vr.2, Benen Rear Tie Bar, ASR subframe Brace, and Hasport Motor Mounts.
Jan- April 08
Picked up many parts in this time period...Go through thread to see what i got during this time.

if you read the first post i stated that i would be updating frequently and would be adding in the history. sorry i know its backwards but didnt want to just start it with the way it looks today.

looks a lot better than before, not feelin the depos, imo could go lower, and i think blades are overplayed and do no justice for the hatch

and it might go lower when i put the Buddy clubs on. and the wheels are just for winter untill i get my others powder coated!

Thanks and its got a long way to go.
As you can tell a couple days ago i Got My CTR wing back from paint and mounted it with my IBUILT brackets. I love these things!
