Broken sway bar end link on 2000 accord (pics)
I went to go change my tires and found this broken between the hub and the end of the rear sway bar.
Anyone know what could have caused this, it looks like it was sheard (sp) at the base of the one end.

btw, Does anyone know a good quality shop that can toss in an h22 + 5 speed conversion near the 626?

The other side appears to just fine. I did change my own shocks a few months ago and when removing all the components they seemed fine, until one day I heard a loud clunk going into a driveway and found this upon inspection. Im only 2.25" down in the front and 2" in the back.
I figured as much, Im just wondering how it happened. Nothing was over-torqued and I haven't hit any huge bumps.
that's easy enough to fix but since you are lowered your suspension has less travel and the stress has to go somewhere......
should take like 15 mins to fix

when you lower your car, you have to lower y our sway bar end links too. Since you're lowered 2 " in the back, you have to get a 2" shorter sway bar end link. They should sell these.

I know our generation had a problem with the endlinks, my 98 is stock and they rusted out and broke off however yours just snappd, seems more related to the lowering issue. Figure it out before you throw money at it, its 90 or something like that for new oem endlinks, replace the bushings too.

My God, could this be yet another issue for the 6th gen? Hopefully I'll get the part tomorrow and try to find the cause while installing it. Next on the list is the h swap and 5 speed conversion...since I can't find a decent shop relatively close I might do that myself too.
