Default dpfi->mpfi codes 4 and 9

ok, i know. search, search.... i have searched a bunch. i did the dpfi to mpfi swap and swapped to an ls and it runs great. i have a check engine light showing codes 4 AND 9... but the car tachs out, and is pretty quick. it has a slight stumble if i mash the gas, and if im in first gear, sitting about 2-3k (no tach) and i mash the gas, it falls flat on its face for a split second, then jumps to life and pulls pretty decent. im sure this has to do with cel.

im going over the wires and plugs tomorro to see if this is the culprit. but before hand, can someone tell me why it would be running almost perfect, but still have these 2 codes?

o, and btw, i got a msd cap, rotor, and external coil if this has ANYTHING to do with it... i didnt know which wire was what when plugging in the external coil. idk if this would have anything to do with it???

any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you all

I have code 9 and also 14 on my hatch. DPFI to MPFI in my 88 std civic hatch to JDM B16A.

Ive re checked my wiring at least 8 times now and its all there . . I think its my distributor . My car idles very low, around 200-500. My car drives fine I guess you can say except for the fact that it idles low like I said and I have NO VTEC and still cannot figure it out

soo ya . . I guess what im trying to say is that you might need a new dizzy even if it worked before . . If you dont figure it out in 2 weeks ill let you know when I have my new distributor in and on my car .

Sorry if i was no help

When I did the mpfi swap on my crx, I got a code 4 too. It turns out that the two wires I ran from the distributor through the firewall to the ECU were getting some kind of radio frequency interference or something. Crazy I know, but I wrapped each wire individually with electrical tape the entire length of the wire, then put each seperate wire in wire loom. That fixed my code 4 anyways. Good luck!

Edit: Also car wouldn't rev over 3k before the code 4. Revs fine now.
