Good way to spend 500 bucks on my EP3???
I got some money coming to me... Aside from the ECU reflash (which is already in the works) what else would be a good mod or mods for my car. I already have AEM CAI, Header, and Magnaflow Exhaust. It is lower on some B&G Springs and has some good Bridgestone tires on it. I've also got upper and lower strut bars on the rear.
I am not looking for just going fast in straight lines. Something to make it a balanced car with some all around mods?
Was thinking struts, torque dampner, front strut bar, good brake pads and rotors, etc...

No Way... 500 you got some choices... high flow cat (needed the stock is about 1.75 inches cut it... I have)( thats about 100), save a little more and get some used nice larger rims and low profile tires, another great cheap mod is http://www.maxbore.com. 100 for a TB bore!!! Mad cheap!!!!
trust me I've highly modifed the ep3

mines got it.

With a bore, the car is down for at least three days. They need to do core exchange. I am not going to take a part off of my car, mail it off and wait for it to come back. I have to get to work each day.
Don't know how a throttle body would cause gains on my car right now... I have here the RSX rear anti sway bar works on my car. What is the best one to get? I would rather not get after market motor mounts due to engine vibration. I want my car to still ride in a comfy manner.
Thanks for the input guys... Anymore?? What single mod yielded the most noticable difference for you guys? I am thinking brakes?

do you have the '02-'04 type s sway or the '05-'06? the latter is 21mm and is more than enough for your needs. You might also look into getting a em2 front sway. You could get both for $150>
Id atleast pick up the '05-'06 type s rear sway. You can get it brand new from the dealer with bushings for less than $80 usually. That will help understeer tremendously. The em2 is a 15.9 front sway, which is smaller than ours. Since your already lowered, this would make another worthwhile upp. Combined with the front and rear sway I listed here, youd notice alot more bite in and a whole lot less if any understeer in hard transitions

search the vendor forums here on honda-tech. I bought mine from a guy on here for a great deal. it was in a thread titled "koni blowout sale" or something to that effect.

Without the supporting mods (kpro) to accompany this, it would be a waste of money.

Fixed that for you.

If you are going to upgrade the rear sway bar, go with a JDM Type R. It is larger than the Type S and is available on eBay for about $60. I noticed a vast improvement over the stock EP3 sway bar. Get ES bushings for it.

1 word... "NEO-GENS!"
This may be something to consider... since eventually you will need new tires anyways!

i had Wanli's on before, they were "good" like you said the BF's were...
but once you try these, you'll see why the people who have them (and the experts) SWEAR by them!
IMHO- my Handling went from "Stage 1" to "Stage 2!" Instantly!
(what good is having a GREAT Car, with less than the best handling (under $500) tires on it?)
Good Luck!

Well, if you wouldn't SPIN THEM
and PUSH THEM TO THE EDGE ALL THE TIME, they may last longer!
LOL!
Quote from other thread "This data was combined with results from independent tread-wear testing which evaluated tread wear up to 12,000 miles.
The Nitto Neo Gen had a strong showing in all tests. The Neo Gen was also one of the most affordable tires tested. Because of the Neo Gen's balance of dry and wet performance, and ride comfort, the editors recommended it as one of their top picks."
for the price and performance, i'll get a new set every 15,000 miles!
(that's 4 years of summer driving -mainly back and forth to work)
i switch tires for winter conditions... so i'm not spinning the Nitto's as much!

I never spin them and I corner hard on them periodically because it's what they are made for. They lasted about 12,000 miles (now completely bald). My Kumho Ecsta's are about 7/10 in those same 12,000 miles.
My buddy had Azenis last for over 20 track events and about 8000 miles of DD.
You only drive 3800 miles a summer? I drove 16,000 miles on my EP last year before storing it.
Don't

<Neos are better overall... we put neo's on the 05, and the handling improved!
and sorry about the bonk, but they say the neo's aren't good for snow, too hard, so they spin too much! Hence, the Bonk!
(i didn't know you stored it)
both our cars have snow tires on them now, performance tires are useless on our icy roads!
and yes, i only put about 10,000 miles a year on my ep3- we use the sedan for long hauls!
so my ep3 summer tires only see about 6,000 miles a year!
Her summer tires get used an average of at least 10,000+ miles a year (it has 63,000 on it, and it's an 05!)
since Good tires aren't cheap, i thought this may be a good $500 upgrade!
My Tire mechanic "Harry" told me these neo's were...
"Matched Perfect and Staggered Special! ...if you go to the outside, You CAN HOLD!"
and when it comes to the tires, i take his word for it!
EDIT- (or maybe that was in the movie Days of Thunder?)
...there, i bonked myself!

Tires are a good upgrade. The OEM Michelin HXMXM4s are crap. I went to Falken FK452s and they are great. I researched before I purchased (I was originally looking at some Dunlop Maxx Sports) and the 452s were near the top with much higher priced tires. The 452 is Falken's flagship tire and provides great grip in dry and wet.
