Is this true?

I bought a used cat but the stock one and I called the muffler guys and they said that they cant weld it on for me because of some law. Does anybody know in sacramento were I can do it? this is

Thats how it is in most states. Just take it to a welding shop not a muffler shop... Thats what I had to do.

yea its against the law to put a used cat on. i think it has to be like documented from were it came from or something. i had the same thing. if you check around somebody will do it any way.
