Default GSR cluster in EF: Speedometer not working?

I installed a GSR gauge cluster in my Civic. First; I had issues with the Fuel Gauge not working and found out that the cluster was different from the harness(on the cluster; fuel gauge was B1 and it was B3 on the harness).

Second, the speedometer doesn't work. I checked the wiring and it's correct. Only issue is it's reading 3.18-3.25v instead of 5v. Would this cause the speedometer to not work(in other words, is the VSS defective?)

Thanks, Kevin.

Does the tachometer also work too? If no, I had the same problem. I blew #1 fuse underneath the dash and the whole speedo and tach didn't work, but the check engine light and other stuff worked. Check the fuse its a 10 AMP

VSS that's mounts on the tranny has a wire going inside the VSS, there is also a clip that secures it. May be that it came off loose.

swap your lead wires on your VSS i believe the powere wire is the middle one and the signal wire is the on the left and teh ground is on the far right oh yeah look at the VSS plug with teh flat side away from you.....hope this helps i did mine a few months ago and it works fine....make sure your also run a wire to your ecu or you will get a CEL for your VSS.....
