Default 2000 Civic Si Transmission

Hey

I drive a 00 civic si and my transmission just went out. I have no idea where to look for another one. I dont' ahve the money for a new one. I've called around but everyone says it's real hard to find a tranny for it.

I was wondering if any of you could give me an idea of where to look or maybe you know of a place i can buy one and get it shipped?

Thanks

when you say went out, exactly what is going on? maybe you could have it rebuilt.
b-series trannies are hard (and expensive) to come by. you can try the classified section here on HT, ebay, junk yard, or google it.

i have some sites you can try:
http://www.hondaacurasalvage.com/
http://www.gearspeedinc.com/home.htm

hope they help, good luck.

Well its a long story. The input bearings went bad a little while back so I took it in and the guy put new bearings in. It was fine for about 2 days then the bearings were bad and got loose in the tranny and it would always get stuck in 4th gear then the rest of the gears a short while after that. So its been back and forth taking it to the shop and getting it "fixed" then the same thing happening.

I took it back on saturday and said there is obviously something bigger wrong with it. He told me the tranny was bad.

We are tryig not to have it rebult since the guy's shop we have it at is giving us free labor and paying for half of the tanny.

The big problem is actually finding another tranny.

check hondamarketplace.com to see what you find. 99-00 Si transmissions are a little harder to find because they were only made for two model years plus they cost more than other b-series trannies.

If you aren't worried about speed and are low on cash get you a 94-01 integra LS tranny.

not really sure how fast Santa Fe springs is to you but a company called LKQ sells car parts...here is the link, just put in 2000 Civic and look under Transmission

http://www.lkqcorp.com/location/fSearch.asp?L=19

if u want to do your own search, just click on LKQ network Locator, click on CA and click on one of the places close to you and search for whatever you looking for

Here's the search they're using. This one is for the entire US, Canada and Mexico though.
