Default Oil starvation!

Roughly 1500 miles after an oil change the oil light comes on. The engine burns oil i get that.
But no matter the amount of distance between changes the pressure light comes on during hard cornering.

Possible remedy?

how old is the switch that turns the light on?

and how hard are we talkin about cornering? a little harder than normal, or full on autocross speed cornering?

Check your oil pump!!
Make sure oil is circulating before driving or you'll seize that motor.
Remove the oil cap while the motor is idling...the oil should be sloshing around and up out of the cap hole!

The camshaftsshould have oil on them

Have you even thought about doing an oil pressure test?

Check your oil level and then your pressure.

The first thing to do is to make sure oil is OK, then check if the filter you used has a bypass valve in case it gets clogged from sludge buildup. Next I would check the oil pressure on the oil pump bolt. then If found its low i would check the rotor type oil pump and see if there is sufficient clearance for the oil to pass throught and then if faulty and does not meet specs. REPLACE pump. I would also check the main caps for clearance too. May be the bearings are crushed so deep that oil is lubing the surface excessively and not creating pressure.

please do not do this!!!!

if the oil light is coming on during hard cornering, it may be time for a baffled oil pan and upgraded pump.
