I have the exact same problem with my rex..i replaced my sunroof thinking it would fix it, but it didnt work...i just tap mine upwards just a tad and it closes perfectly...but i still gotta RAISE it just for it to close...i've noticed that it gets caught on the rail when going forward...dont know why though. Maybe someone might have another suggestion.

Sears store has automotive lithium grease specifically for the rails on the sunroof rail guides. They come in packs of 3 for $8.99 on sale with CLUB membership. Check it out, it works great on other application as well.
