Default Manual transmision fill/check plug

Ok so I drained my transmission oil but cant get the fill plug off. So its sitting on jack stands with no tranny fluids. I need to be able to drive. Used a wrench at first then a socket wrench and breaker bars for leverage. Still stuck tight!!!! Any suggestions.

-Thanks in advance.

WD40, PB Blaster, and remember to push on the breaker bar/ratchet in short strong bursts to break it loose. You can always push harder than you can pull, and doing it in one long push doesn't always get the job done, you have to beat at it like an impact wrench does. And you probably already know all this, so there's my $0.02.

exactly... try hitting the tip with a hammer. thats what I had to do to get a bolt off one time. Turn while a friend hits it.

so hit the socket while applying force or just hit it then try turning.

you can try to heat it with a torch, personally id put a cheater bar ( a piece of conduit) on your ratchet, and pull it

I'd just remove the 10mm bolt that holds your vehicle speed sensor in and fill it from there. The tranny has a vent tube to allow the air displaced by the fluid to escape.

A B series tranny holds about 2.3 quarts of MTF, so basically pour just under 2.5 quarts into it.

You want to just hit it. Your trying to get a large change in torque hoping it will break loose. Much like an impact gun does.

thanks thats what im going to end up doing. If i had a lift I could probably get enough room for a longer pipe or something. But on my jackstands I dont even have room to push so ive only been pulling on it.

try reaching it from under the hood with socket wrench, and slide on a long pipe to get leverage. but ye vss is almost same level as the fill up hole.
