Default I am having a tough time programming my 2W900FM 2ND (Blue Remote)

I had recently had my Civic installed with the 2W900FM. I was initially given the gray remote with the turbo timer until the blue remote with the 2ND feature arrived. I activated it to 2ND and am trying to have my dad's car, CR-V with the 2W900FM-AS (older blue remote (rectangular rather than curvey)) to learn the new blue remote.

I turn ign on/off 5 times...
Press 1 on old blue remote, clicks
Press 1 on new remote with 2ND enabled, nothing

Press 1 on new remote with 2ND enabled, nothing

Am I doing something wrong? Is the new remote not compatible with the old 2W900FM? Is my new remote defective? When I change it back from 2nd to normal, it would unlock my Civic.

dont know if antenna wiring is same.. if it is, then you might be able to make it work by swapping the antenna from you civic onto crv. did you install it yourself? if not, just take it to installer. basically, your remote/antenna needs to be compatible with brain module, if not it will not work. or theres a different programming sequence for old compustar. i really don't know much about older units or differences.. just throwing stuff out there.

Not sure I fallow, the "rectangular rather than curvey" remote is a 2WFMR, or maybe a 2WSSR

Go to... http://www.compustar.com/main.htm click on Remote User Manuals to confirm what remotes you have. 94

CR-V:

Civic

Why would I swap antenna? I want to use it for both cars.

Damn, I thought both were 900FM...
