Default LS/Vtec? b20/Vtec?

Im finally going to ditch the SOHC and build something moderate. I will be using this car as a Daily Driver, Auto-cross, and Time Attack vehicle. Looking for an all motor platform that will put out good torque. Im not looking to out-run the GTR, was thinking ls/vtec some have told me b20/vtec. Opinions? This will go on a 2000 honda civic coupe thanks fellas

ummm i would have to say b20/vtec if you want to make some power but for a track car i would go ls/vtec cus u can still make good power and i feel that it will last longer....
