Honda new turbo diesel engine i-dtec...the furture for Honda?
that will be the swap of the future, wait and see. id be willing to bet it would crush anything available to date. to bad they added and egr system w/ cooler, that will most likely be a problematic learning experience for honda. other than that it looks great and it may even get me back into the honda scene one day
its been a long time coming...i'm sure honda will have it about as sorted-out as possible...
i'd love to swap in a diesel to my EF someday.. (crosses fingers that it bolts into a K engine bay/mounts)

We will be building a new car this spring, and we will likely use the diesel block for this car. Chances are it will be a gas EFI/Turbo engine, but we like the more robust diesel block.

Ive read about different styles for a few years now, they need to release one already!

Even the new civic hatch that looks like the Type-R is running a diesel motor. I can take a few pics if you guys want me to. We as Americans are so behind when it comes to new vehicle technology.

americans are not behind. it's the emissions that won't let diesels in. our diesels have high sulfer in them and gives out too much CO2. even with cleaner low sulfer diesels, our california emission laws prohibits normal passenger cars with diesel engines from being sold here. thanks to the new CAFE laws and new diesel technology, diesels with urea filters are finally being sold to all 50 states. in europe, the laws are different, and where space is limited, about 50% of cars sold in 2007 are diesels. they don't have urea filters like the US bound cars meaning that they don't use animal urine to dampen the pollutants coming out of the exhaust.

blah, its going to get put in a RDX or something that no one wants to drive. It needs to come to the HONDA lineup not the Acura lineup. Everything cool gets released in the Acura lineup and the price is stupid. Diesel Element would be cool.
