so um where to start?

found this crx 3 weeks ago this is the condition it was in the beginning, rust sucks ***...




After buying it and even before buying it the freaking rust gave my shivers, honestly i hated driving it, looked so ugly. so i got a 700 paint job at earl shieb took all the dings out and glossed it up nice and purrrrrrty like.
also i had it lifted up to take a look under it, there is no rust whatsoever under it, seemed strange to me... just on top and no other rust hiding in other places



After painting it i started grabbing a couple more things for it.
-sunroof visor
-dashboard cover
-speaker system (not done yet but getting there)
-windshield wipers







Interior is fkn mint... seats are perfect...
got a oem armrest the other week with a crack in the lid, gimme a week ill have that fixed and in the car, then looking to buy some oem window trim cuz the plasti was pealing away its hard to see it unless ur right next to the car




But yea thats about it. I'm not gonna be racing it out, it has a rebuilt stock 1.6L in it with only 20k miles on it so ill have some time to think about the next engine and gather some parts, no need to rush.

Other things I'm looking into
-Finishing off the speaker system, just a little bump
-Window Visors, Oems are about 200 i believe
-So cheapo fogs from autozone or something (less then 50 bucks)
-getting to small scratches out of the windshield and rear windshield (someone used an old wiper i guess, very light stratch)
-Maybe getting the ceiling reupholstered just cuz ima perfectionist

 

for some reason two of my last exterior pictures are not showing up, just right click them to take a look.

 

Looks pretty good, what's up with the lower window trim though? It's peeling, but it still looks black underneath (the part that should be "chrome")... Did the Earl guys just spray over it?

 

What the hell???? I never even heard of a dashboard cover before for a crx? Did you make that or buy it? The stitching looks pretty good so maybe you bought it, lol.

 

Can you take a closeup pix of the center console with the brackets? I have one and trying to find or make brackets to fit in my 91 hatch. thanks

I said the lower trim is peeling away already they are about 55 bucks a piece from the dealer during the next month ill probably go buy two. and yes i had them paint over it. i have a 7 year warrenty on the car paint (Metal) and 1 year on all the plastics

I guess those pix are good enough. Is the armrest OEM on USDM 90 CRXs or is that JDM?

 

I think I have to get the rear piece of a CRX center console so the armrest can fit on top of it.
