Default dailydriving with aeromotive a1000 pump?

I have a complete aeromotive system with the a1000 pump can it be daily driven on or do I need the aeromotive pump speed controller??
are there any other options other than the speed controller to do this?

It is a reliable fuel pump but its really loud. One of the reasons why I stopped driving my car on the streets. If you mount it in the back and sump the factory gas tank, you really have to be careful of hitting the pump and the sump on road obstacles.

i drove mine around on several occasions for an evening and the only time it sucks is when you get below half tank and brake decently, it starves for a sec.

Well, I can say that a guy I know built a box in the back of his RX7 where the spare tire use to be. He fully insulated it and vented it outside the car. I can say that you can barely even hear the pump outside the car, and you can't hear it inside the car at all. He used rubber isolators on the pump and the box that the pump is mounted inside. But, I will warn people, the box does get hot inside(which is not good for the pump). I personally wouldn't run a big pump on the street for long periods of time. Just my .02

This was brought up in another forum recently. I would like to see what the drag racers have to say. I have a friend that daily drives his a1000.

I ran mine for like a yr with no speed control or voltage regulator, and it was loud. Now I run it with the V/regulator and it made a big diffrence. It's nice and low in idle and under 3000rpm. I suggest you get the voltage regulator.

I don't see why you would have to replace it every couple of mths. The contoller is the only thing that i know off that's gonna make your pump run in low voltage when you need it too. I ran mine w/out the controller for over a yr and never gave me any problems.
