and it wouldnt start. So after doing a little troubleshoot, i am getting fuel, i am getting spark, but i noticed the motor sounded as though it was turning freely, performed a compression check, my results....
0-0-25-35
thats what the tests yielded. 4-3-2-1
I double checked the timing and it is dead on. I don't understand what is going on. Its a brand new motor. top and bottom. If it makes any difference i am using first gen b16 cams and its a 94 gsr motor. Im using the cams to for a back to back dyno comparison with a set of itr/ctr cams. next step is leak down test but thought i could get some feedback.
thanks
i posted this in the turbo forum but thought id try this forum out as well since its not directly turbo related.

are you sure you have all your harness connectors plugged into the correct sensors? map, tps, and knock can be interchanged rather easily. are you using a known good distributor and ecu?
Are you sure you have pistons in there?? 0 compression on 2 cylinders?? Even bad rings or a blown headgasket should give you some compression. Pour oil in the cylinders and test compression for rings. Otherwise, any chance the cam timing is off or something that would cause valves to be open at incorrect time.

I will have to do a leak down to see where the compression is going. i dont understand either how it could be that low, and i dont understand how the cam timing could be off...
