Default Rear Disc Convertion

Im planning on doing a rear disc conversion, ive been doing some research and came up that i needed a proportioning valve 40/40. how would i know if i have one already? i have a 90Civic SI. i also need the Ebrake cables any suggestions on what year would fit best? is there anything else i would need?

on the valve it will say 40 on the top and 40 on the bottom.
40-40 ...

just get a ebrake cable for your year. for disc breaks. not drum.

It will be hard for him to get ebrake cables for a 90 Civic Si as they never came with rear disc brakes to begin with. You will need to use Integra 2dr ebrake cables.

its worth your time to goto the larger 88-91 Prelude or 90-91 Non-ABS Integra brake master cylinder as well.

not trying to hijack your thread but I did the da rear disc swap and I got 2 door integra e-brake cables and they dont work?


any suggetions I hvae a 91 dx hatch

i did DA rear trailing arms and used the ebrake cable without issue.

Some people loop the cables to take the slack out of it which is something that needs to be done so they are taunt.

maybe cause i have a sedan and you guys have hatches? don't know how that would effect it because the wheelbase is the same

I used TA's out of a 4 door teg and the cables worked fine in my hatch.

heh, I used cables out of a DC teg and they worked too. I had to move/bend some of the mounting brackets a bit though.
