Default Nasty Electrical Problems!!!

Ok well for some reason my hatch is having some really bad problems with something in the electrical system that is really starting to **** me off. Here is what happens. When I go to start the car sometimes it starts just fine, other times it acts up. When I go to start the car sometimes it will let me turn it on or sometimes it will die, in which case i have to go play with the positive cable till it turns back on. Other times it will let me turn the car on but when I go to start it, it dies. I have found that if I can get the car to turn on, I can always roll start it, however, roll starting does not work when i can't get it to turn on. If someone understood all that I really need some help. Ive got two weeks to fix this problem so I can have a reliable car for my new job. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer...

With regards to the bump starting....are you getting power at the gauges and do you hear the fuel pump kick on. Bump start it all you want.....no fuel, no start. How frequently does this happen? Has the car been modified, if so, how?

I dont know if I've ever heard the fuel pump turn on so I couldn't tell ya. It is modified, I got it quite riced so some of the things are quite ghetto. It has a push button starter and a cheap DEI alarm which im thinking could be part of the problem. Other than that just a z6 swap with boltons. When I'm driving a lot it seems to happen at least once if not more times per day.

sounds like a bad connection to the battery or starter. or a bad ignition switch. be a little more specific about the problem. does the battery have a charge? when running does the alt charge the battery? does everything else work, i.e. lights radio ect?

Yep the battery holds a charge fine. I actually just got it tested when I had my winter tires put on. A lot of local guys think its the power to my fuel pump but I that doesnt explain anything about me having to play with the battery terminal to get it to work....

Thanks for the bump Drew

lol no it doenst at all. dont take this as fact because im kinda guessing but i know the fuel pump relays are a common problem on a lot of hondas. maybe playing with the batt cable some how resets it or something.
