2003 Honda Element blower motor?
I was clearing the maintainance required light on a honda element. I started the car, and there was no air blowing. I checked the heater motor fuse under the hood, and it seemed fine. The air doesnt blow on any setting, Could I have caused damage when I reset the maint reqd light? I ordered a blower motor in case thats the problem, what do you guys think?
Thanks in advance!

Heater Blower Motor Gets
Hot or Blows a Fuse

A blocked cooling hose for the heater blower
motor can cause the motor to overheat, draw
more current, blow a fuse, or even melt its plastic
impeller. Before you order a replacement blower
motor, make sure the cooling hose isn’t blocked.
On some models, you’ll find the cooling hose
molded into the blower motor housing; on other
models, it’s a separate piece. Check the S/M for
the vehicle you’re working on to determine the
actual location of the cooling hose.

I too own an Element, and there's nothing that could have been damaged by simply resetting the maintanance light.
Did you happen to replace the A/C filters prior to resetting that light?
Have the a/c filters been replaced recently or at all?
I've reset my light numerous times thrugh our 40K miles on the car, with no adverse effects on anything.

I did replace the cabin pollen filters once. Now has 110k, and I think I changed them once, or maybe twice. I will check, but I doubt they could be so clogged that they burned out the motor. Thanks for the insight!

Well I didn't mean that if you'd never changed them it clog so badly that the motor would burn out.
What I was wondering is that if part of you clearing that light was actually doing a service that entailed changing the cabin filter that perhaps en error occured in the process of changing the filter, thus causing directly or indirectly the blower motor to cease functioning.
I understand that nornally there isn't really a correlation with the blower itself and the filter install-wise, but if it got stuck in their and it hung up in there, etc. etc.

I will check, but the filters are downstream of the blower, and I dont see that as much of a potentiality, but will check nontheless.
Anyone else have any idea?

Really I think you've got yourself a shitty coincidence.
I can look up the blower motor flowchart when I get back from lunch if you'd like.
