Default Summit Weekend

Fast, clean racing.
Beth the bikini model.
Rollover and drift competitions (Warren, were you perfecting your line or what?)
Pissing dogs at turn 1.
Getting the showboys on the track.
BSR controlling (not really) "the net."

Thanks for making it happen guys, look forward to seein' y'all at CMP.

- Mike (Turn 1 on Sunday)

I've gotta ask this, and I might step on some toes in doing so but I don't especially care. What was the tech inspection requirement for cars in the rollover contest? Cause um... I checked out the cage in the "IM SCREWED" car or whatever it was, and wow... whoever droe that car in the contest really could've been screwed when they rolled it over. None of the baseplates were welded all teh way around to the structure of the car, none of the downtubes were mated properly [we should ALL know that if you are butting the end of a tube to the round tubing of the main hoop, the joint should NOT look like this )| wherein there are only two points of welding contact joining the two pieces of metal, and should instead look like thius )) where the two are butted together and a single welding bead joins the two together) I should also mention that none of the welds showed good penetration. My point is, I have no idea how this cage held up. I don't know who tech inspected it or if someone just put a checkmark next to "rollcage" on the inspection form, but somebody could've gotten seriously hurt in that car and I think that if there's another rollover contest at the next Hyperfest, someone needs to look at the safety equipment more carefully. People might lack the intelligence to save their own ***, but it still doesn't look good for the event promoters when preventable accidents happen.

Yeah Chris you are right to bring this up. At the next event the tech needs to be better then. I don't know if NASA or BSR was doing the tech (my guess is BSR) but I doubt anyone should assume contestants put the cage together properly. Remember, erroneous assumptions kill more people around the world than any other mental mistake.

Let me just say this...the right girl won the bikini contest. None of the other girls (except the Cambodian chick named Phoan who didn't enter the contest) could even hold a candle to her. Hands down she kicked the other girls' asses.

Okay, so where's a pic of this girl?

And I think a smaller ramp for the rollover contest might work better.

Had a blast at the Hype-R-Trial Saturday. Everyone kept it under control, and the tow-truck got the day off. I love the Jeff, even if it does destroy brake pads. Someone needs to work on handicapping the time trial, though; Civic Si vs. Z06 'vette is rough, even with MaD SkillZ, yO! . How 'bout classes for over and under 1600cc? Yeah, that's the ticket .

Watched the Saturday ECHC race from the turn 7-8 grandstand, and was really impressed with the level of competition. There was a lot more real racing than in your usual F1 parade, and the crowd loved it. always some passing going on, and good side-by-side runs through the Carousel. If some of our shoestring racers don't get sponsorship after their work this weekend, it'll be the sponsors' loss.

I should have some pictures of the Saturday ECHC race up tomorrow morning.

Jerry - Who realizes his Si displaces 1595cc.

Yeah, that Z06 was there on Sunday running like .58 against my 1.05 . But I had a lot of fun and we got a good amount of track time.

C'mon, now. Knowing the group you're talking to in here, what do you think people are going to say, now?
I foresee an admin changing the title under his name ...
