Default IACV

lately i have been having an erratic idle. The car idles from about 500 to 3000 RPMs. So i started with the basics. I unplugged the IACV and the can runs at a normal idle. So i Removed the IACV and cleaned it, reset the ECU. I am still getting the erratic idle. Im thinking that the IACV is bad.

Does anyone agree or have any other suggestions.

check it...12v power and a ground listen for a click ...if it doesn't get a new one....but if it does..look for any kind of vac leak...try adjusting your idle screw..these are a few things that will cause a surge

are you getting a check engine light? i have one now for an IACV, and the car idles fine, unless i am sitting idle for more thna a minute, then it starts to surge from 1200-1500 rpms.
