SI Tranny in a D15B2?

Default SI Tranny in a D15B2?

would a 88-91 si tranny, ecu work in a 89 civic dx with a d15b2? if so would the would it be a good performance swap??? im gonna just rebuild my d15b2 and do a mpfi conversion. and i know you wondering why i just dont do a A6 swap but i wanna see how quick i can make a d15b2!

Everything will be fine, but you can't use the MPFI ECU until you actually do the conversion. Just in case you planned to use the ecu for the time being

awww **** nvm i think ima just do the a6 swap cuz by the time i by everything for the mpfi swap il could spend the extra 200 and get the A6 with more hp and more potential....wish i new somone that new what they were doing id even drive expletivein like 300 miles to get help maybe more. ive never did any kind of swap before.

Just make sure that transmission is a 1989-1991 transmission, as the 1988 transmission has a different input shaft spline.

that makes sense cuz when i was looking for a cv shaft for my 89 civic dx and all the 89 and 90's didnt work so thats why the 88 one worked.. i must have a 88 tranny in there...ty very much

Actually, there is no difference between 1988 and 1989-1991 axles. Perhaps you were trying to use 1989-1990 STD axles on you DX?

idk but all i know is when i was gettin a cv shaft 89-91 wouldnt work but the 88's did....so beats me

if u want u can still use the pm5 it will give u a cell tho but there is a way to trick it to think it a 5 speed ecu
