Where to get screws for Alpine Amp?
I lost one of the gold plated screws that hold the speaker wire in on my amp. I need that and the little square piece that goes on the screw to hold the wire down. The amp is a MRP-F450 4 channel amp. The screws are on all 8 speaker terminals and the power, ground, and remote power inputs so I'm assuming it's a common screw. I called both places on Alpines site they list to get parts for and both said they would get back to me within a couple of days and neither has and it's been almost a week. The first lady I called said they had 1 left but I said I'd call back and order it if the other place didn't have it as shipping was crazy high. The other said they would have to call me back and then when I called the 1st one back they said they would have to call me back as she couldn't find it.
Anyone know where I can get these screws from? I love Alpine stuff but if it's this hard to get simple parts like this I'm not sure if I will use a lot of it in the future. I'm sure it can't really be this hard and I must just be missing a place.

Just use a regular screw, it's not that big a deal if it's not gold plated. You can get by without the square washer as well. Radio shack might have the screws and or washers.
My problem is finding one with the right thread pitch. I don't know if it will be hard to find it or not. Anyone know what it is or do I just need to take the old screw in and compare?
I think I'd have to have that square piece or at least a washer or something as the head of the screw is soo small I don't know if it will hold the think speaker wire down. I'm trying to hook up either 12 or 14 guage wire I forgot which. Not huge but not small either.

Take one of the other screws into your hardware store and find out the thread pitch and size. You can probably get away with using a spade connector but for best results use a ring terminal. The square washer is not needed at all with a ring terminal.
Have you checked your local install shops?
i believe the speaker screws on Alpine amps are 7mm ISO machine screws, as they are for a lot of amps.

OMG dude why aren't you listening to me? You are making this so much harder on yourself! You could make one trip to radio shack, any hardware store or even Wallmart and have this problem resolved in a few minutes.

You need to get into your car and pop around to the car audio shops, I checked with friends at the other shops in town, they all had a bin with amp screws, it's just something we installers do, because we get customers who want installs of used amps with missing screws.
