Default Someone help! B16 into 96ek swap questions

First off, i have an auto 96 ek hb and im swaping in a obd1 B16a from a del sol i believe, and also doing the 5 speed swap.

ok ive got a few questions bout what i can use.

I went to drop my motor today and ran into a problem

On my driver side, my innovative mount would not bolt up to the mount already on the engine, so i tried swapping out the old d series one thinking maybe i had to switch them, but no. Im not sure which engine mount i need to get. Are the innovative mounts only for the 99-00 si b16a2's?

Also i would like to keep my a/c compressor and p/s from my old d series motor, is this possible? If so what mounts do i need and where can i get them.

Thanks guys, ive done searches and have found many answer to questions but have these last few. Btw yes this is my first dohc swap lol

That mount showen looks like it fits. You just need to slide it over and but the last bolt in. Use the factory mount that came with the B16 and connect the new conversion mount to it.

I'm assuming that the Innovative Mounts use some sort of extra bracket so u can use a mount design like the Integras. Cuz if it doesn't then u got the wrong mounts.

The D-series compresser won't bolt up. Your going to have to get a b-series compressor or Hasport might make something (i know they did for the 89-91 EF swaps)

that mount wont fit, it only has two bolts as the b series has 3 holes. The innovative mount you have looks like it's for the 92-95 civic the 96+ civics has a different style. You said you switch to a 5 speed also, assuming you had an auto, the tranny mount may not fit either unless you got the custom one from innovative. As for the p/s and a/c you would have to use the b16 mounts. Not sure about the actual compressor though. Good luck

I have the right mounts for my car, i have 96-00 b-series swap mounts. The thing is that the engine is a JDM B16a, from a del sol or eg. the engine bracket which the swap mounts would bolt on to would fit if i were using EG swap mounts, but then the mount wouldnt bolt up in my car. Im thinking ima call innovative tomorrow and ask for some advise on what to do.

i just did this swap but i used the 00 si b16a2 that i had swapped into my ej1 and recently swapped over to my ej6.... u only have two options u either need to switch the driver side timing mount (#8 in the pic) or u have to use an ej1 (eg) motor mount with the new bracket that came with your kit the mounting holes from the b16 timing mount to engine mount are offset slightly and the one that u have they are straight....look at the pics that u posted up
